Seventeen tracks. Sometimes you just need something heavy.

I wanted to make something heavy with this one. The kind of music that makes you get up and move, even when you’ve had enough of everything.

There’s a stubborn streak running through Colossus. Getting knocked down, carrying the weight, finding enough in yourself to stand up again. I don’t always feel strong, and I don’t expect you to either. Some days, just keeping going takes everything you’ve got.

The names probably give you an idea of where my head was: Iron, Concrete, Gasoline, Overdrive. I wanted room to get a little wild and follow things further than I normally would.

Some ideas needed more than one version. Others needed nearly eight minutes. I like seeing what happens when I give a track room instead of rushing it to the finish.

Find your favourite. Put it on when you need to move, let off some steam or get out of your head for a while.
